In The Beginning

In September 2004 Bubba Grills (Lonnie, Shannon, Julie, Danny, Mike, and Dixie) went to a Memphis, May cook-off event in Callaway Gardens, Georgia.  There they competed for the first time in a cook-off.  Little did we know what we were getting ourselves into.  By the end of the event we had won 3rd in shoulder, 3rd in site, and 1st place in sauce (Hammock GA Pride ).  What started so simply on that beautiful Fall day has grown into a special love for cooking, Bar-B-Que and grills.  The rest is history in the making!

2009 will be our most ambitious year to date.   I was fortunate enough to be elected president of the Georgia Barbeque Association.  The Bubba Girls will cook in the GBA events next year and the Bubba Grills Team will cook in at least 9 MBN events next year.  Our guest sponsors and loyal customers continue to help make our dream of BBQ come true.   I'm excited about the new products added to our selection.  And we can't wait to unveil the 2009 Memphis style Competition Cooker in Moultrie, GA next year.  So have a great Holiday Season and keep cooking as often as possible!!!
